Most of my work is composed of materials that require extreme forces to manipulate. I enjoy resistance in materials. The only thing that is constant in the world is change; I try to take a snapshot in time and resist this change. I capture emotions and feelings that will last forever. I like to create a contrasting relationship on many levels with my sculptures: the contrast between delicate, warm, and soft form, to cold, hard, brute force, and to display the complexity of life through simple sleek form. My work is almost always a result of struggle and conflict, taking complex feeling and emotion and transforming them into simple logical lines. That is a small glimpse of what I think of when I create, however I wish that everyone that views my work doesnt question my thoughts on it, I like the idea that the viewers questions themselves and let it reflect on something in their own life to make it a connection through common thought between them and myself.
